After Monterosso and the promontory of Mesco, other picturesque villages are aligned along the coast and, facing the same portion of the Ligurian Sea, they form the sunny Riviera di Levante. Levanto, Bonassola, Framura, Deiva Marina, Moneglia and Sestri Levante offer, mainly in the hinterland, a natural landscape very similar to that of the Cinque Terre which is characterised by mountains overlooking the sea and by the Mediterranean scrub. On the coast, the Riviera di Levante stands out for its bathing establishments, for its beaches and its beach umbrellas, for its malls, for the outdoor-cinemas, for the free-time structures and mainly for a sea so clear and clean to have won various awards for many years.
