The Via Francigena

A walk between the two fortresses of Sarzana

Sunday, May 28th from 10.30 to 13.30(1.30pm) in Sarzana, you will travel along the roads of the Via Francigena between the fortress Firmafede and the fortress of Sarzanello.

The event is open to all those who want to take a walk in the company, two and a half hours to start from the fortress Firmafede and get to the fortress Sarzanello, where there will be the guided tour of the fortress.

The cost of participation is €6 and includes the walk, the entrance and the guided tour to the fortress of Sarzanello. During the course the guide will tell stories and anecdotes about the life of the Pilgrims of Sarzana at the end of 300.

An opportunity to dive in the Sarzana of the fourteenth century, discovering uses and costumes of the time told by the guides that for the walk will interpret Andreola and Bartolomeo Parentucelli, parents of the famous Pope Sarzanese Nicolò V.

The event is made possible by Earth and the mercenary company of the Whiting.

It starts with a minimum of 15 participants and with a great desire to discover the origins of the city of Sarzana.
