In Giardino con 'MORANDO'

Event in Levanto in remembrance of the famous film critic Morando Morandini

Three days in Levanto dedicated to Morando Morandini, famous film critic disappeared in 2015 at the age of 91 years. Morandini was very much tied to the country of Liguria di Levante, of which he was an honorary citizen, where he was married to Laura in 1951 and where he rested his remains next to those of his wife. For ten years, from 2004 to 2013, in Levanto Morandini had given life to the "LauraFilmFestival", putting his witty and ingenious talent available to the numerous audience of enthusiasts and people who met in his garden in the Piazzetta of the shopping. And that garden will return to the protagonist from 14 to 16 July with a calendar full of events and with the participation of celebrities in the world of cinema, journalism and literature.

Start of the event Friday, July 14 at 17.30 with "Remembering Morandini": Matteo Pavesi, director general of the "Fondazione Italian film Archive" and curator of "The Library of Morandini"; Philip the door, essayist, journalist and literary critic; Marco Bellocchio, director.
At 21.30 "In the Garden: concert between the soundtracks of our existence" with the "Carlo Aonzo Trio": Luciano Puppo on the double bass, Lorenzo Picco on guitar and Carlo Aonzo to the mandolin, creator and founder of "The International Academy of the Mandolin".

Saturday, July 15, at 17.30 presentation of the book "Sao Tome and Principe. Diary do Centro do Mundo "by Giorgio Pagano: Pierfranco Awelkiyar, academic, essayist and journalist will participate, and the author Giorgio Pagano, writer, international co-operative and columnist.

At 18.30 presentation of the book "Age only the other" by Marco Aime and Luca Borzani. Silvia Vegetti Finzi, psychologist and writer will participate; Marco Aime, anthropologist and writer; Luca Borzani, essayist and president of the "Fondazione Palazzo Ducale di Genova".

At 21.30, finally, presentation of the book "Something out There" by Bruno Arpaa, with projection of audiovisual and lecture held by the same Bruno Arpaa, writer and journalist.

Sunday, July 16, always at 17.30, presentation of the book "Ten Thousand Mules. A novel of Men and Beasts "by Salvatore Maira: Philip the Door, essayist, journalist and literary critic; Amedeo Phage, screenwriter and director, and Salvatore Maira, director, writer and literary critic.

At 18.30 presentation of the book "Those who command in the city" by Mario Vegetti, curated by Giuseppe Pericu, lawyer, jurist and politician, and Mario Vegetti.

The exhibition closes at 21.30 at "Cinema Roma" with the presentation and projection of the film "era in Summer", starring Beppe Fiorello and Massimo Parr and focused on the permanence of the island of Asinara by Giovanni Falcone Paolo Borsellino, in the summer of 1985. Luisa Morandini, film critics and actress, and director Fiorella Infascelli will participate. The entrance to the events of the exhibition "in the Garden with Morandini" is free and free, except the ticket to the cinema Roma. The event was conceived and promoted by Paolo Bahman, Lia and Luisa Morandiniand Amedeo Phage, in collaboration with "Associazione Laura Morandini", "Mediterranean Cultural Association", "Vallesanta Committee", "Libreria Corrado Oppecini".
