Roman Kim (class 1991) began his training with the violin in Moscow, at the tender age of 6 years, at the Centralmusicschool with Galina Turchaninova. He later studied with Midori Goto, Maxim Vengerov and Gidon Kremer. At the age of 16 he continued his training with Viktor Tretjakovs in Cologne at the Music University where he currently studies composition.

Currently, Roman Kim is one of the most fascinating solo violinists of his generation. It impresses the public both with its virtuoso violin and as a composer and is constantly working to broaden the sound possibilities and technical limits of the instrument.
