Thousands of flowers and petals covering the streets of Brugnato

On the occasion of the celebration of Corpus Christi as every year will be held the traditional flowering, a religious festival born from a miracle happened in Bolsena.

During this event all the inhabitants of Brugnato, from the most to the least young, are found along the streets of the city, where they give life to a very long carpet on the asphalt; Petals of flowers and leaves go to cover the streets of the city with this carpet with unique beauty that attracts many tourists every year. The event will begin on Saturday, June 17th and then continue on Sunday with the great celebration.

This is the program of the event:

-Saturday 17 June 2017: From 17.00 (5pm) The inhabitants of the different districts will begin to lay on the ground the first drawings both geometrical and religious; From 19.00(7pm) in the street food area there will be live music, while from 21.00(9pm) There will be traveling music on the streets of the old town.

-Sunday, June 18, 2017: from 8.00 am, the implants will cover the designs with multicoloured petals for all wards; From 11.00am to 21.00(9pm) in the street food area there will be music with Luke B DJ. During the morning there will also be the opening of the Diocesan Museum with the guided tour, while in the evening at 21.00(9pm) There will be Vespers and the solemn procession on the flowery carpet, along the streets of the village.

During the whole day of Sunday there will be some markets: that of flowers and plants, the food and wine market and that of handicraft.

Brugnato transforms, in this way, a religious celebration into a veritable feast of flowers and of being all together under the sign of the Christian religion.
