Frittella Festival in Vallecchia

From 1st to 3rd July, at Castelnuovo Magra, in the province of La Spezia, the Committee of Frazione of Vallecchia organizes the festival of the pancake of Vallecchia along the streets of the ancient village of Vallecchia, hilly hamlet of Castelnuovo Magra.

Everyone can savour all the delicacies of the country's tradition: the pancakes of wheat flour with raisins, the real protagonists of the event, the Panigazi seasoned with the precious extra virgin olive oil of Vallecchia, the focaccia with rosemary to taste with the sausages and the fried rabbit and the cacciatora with polenta.

Everything will be prepared directly by the women of the country and the dishes will be accompanied by delicious local wines and a magical atmosphere, that of the village, cheered by the folk music that can be heard in every corner of the beautiful village of Vallecchia.
