The Tellaro festival is held in the courtyard of the primary school of the village, with a breathtaking view on the sea and the village, between bougainvillea and good wine.
The specialty is undoubtedly the octopus alla Tellarese, that is boiled and accompanied with potatoes and seasoned with the oil of Tellaro, but not less is the octopus all'inferno, that is stewed with bay leaves, marjoram, red pepper, tomato and a splash of white wine.
In addition to the specialty of the occasion, you will also find small gnocchetti with seafood, risotto with clams, stuffed muscles, focaccia alla Tellarese, local wines and sangria.
