"The Art of sword fighting and shield"

-The use of shields in the fencing

The end of the seminar will be to impart the basics of combat with the sword accompanied by the shield; That is, to understand and know the sphere of action that each of the two weapons must have during a fight.

The basic concepts, fundamental for the correct use of the same, will follow the descriptions of some techniques taken from the manuscripts of the "anonymous Riccardi", "Anonimo Bolognese" and of the Maestro "Francesco Antilli", authors dating from the first decades of the sixteenth century.

"DE ARTE Gladiatora DIMICANDI"

-The two-handed sword according to Maestro Filippo Vadi-

The end of the seminar will be to make known the concepts, the reasons for being and finally the practical application of the various techniques that the Pisan master Filippo Vadi relegated to the use of what was the Queen of Arms for him: the sword with two hands.

For the part concerning the techniques will also be seen and used parallels with the fencing of two-handed sword from the famous Flos Duellatorum.
