The Shining way of the Cross of Manarola in Riomaggiore

In Manarola you can expect the luminous Via Crucis created by the artist Mario Abdu. On the hill of the three crosses will illuminate the representation of the Passion and resurrection of Christ, an event that combines the religious value a strong ecological message.
The ancient village of the Riviera di Levante, nestled in the evocative setting of the Cinque Terre, is illuminated giving life to a way of the cross on the mountain slope.

Over four thousand square meters of the hill have been transformed by the ingenuity of Mario Abdu in a work of art that at Christmas and Easter lights up giving life to a crib and the way of the cross. It all started with the three crosses that have long dominated the hill from above, to fulfil a desire of the father, Andreolli replaced the old crocuses with luminous structures that quickly gathered great success.
From the crosses, the artist, passed to the creation of shepherds and figures of the way of the cross that illuminate giving a unique spectacle.
