At Camec Museum of La Spezia an exhibition on the two avant-gardes of the 60s. Intertwining between art and poetry in "Group 70" and "Group 63".

Will be on display until March 19, 2017 at CAMeC of La Spezia, the exhibition "From avant-garde to the other. Experiences verbal-visual between Group 63 and Group 70". The exhibition contains works by representatives of the two most important movements dedicated to the verbal-visual poetry of the last century: the "Group 70" and "63 Group": Vincenzo Accame, Nanni Balestrini, Lucia Marcucci, Lamberto Pignotti, Porta Antonio, Luigi Tola .
The verbal-visual research linked to the visual poetry are developed after World War II, particularly in the mid 60s arrived, simultaneously, to develop an environment, ranking somewhere between artistic and literary genres, creating a hybrid of art and literature that distinguished. In Italy, the linguistic and poetic experiments in this direction were carried out by two groups in particular the "Group 63" and the "Group 70".
The "63 Group" was established in Palermo in October of 1963, after Soluntum conference, from the reflections of some young intellectuals not aligned with neo-realism in vogue in the fifties
The "Group 70" instead was founded in May 1963 by Eugenio Miccini and Lamberto Pignotti, in Florence, during the conference "Art and Communication" and brought together artists, poets, painters and musicians decided to artistic experiments with mass culture.
The exhibition at CAMEC consists of documents of the verbal-visual creativity, with a fusion between the contributions of the Group 70 (Pignotti. Marcucci) and those of the last things, when they too have proceeded beyond the written word (Balestrini, Porta) as well as other memorable testimony relating to Vincenzo Accame and Luigi Tola. The exhibition ideally celebrates the encounter anniversary that those in the half-century 63, Group ago, held in La Spezia in June 1966 and it ideally tribute to Umberto Eco, who was among the most attentive members of the group.
