Fried Anchovy Festival

Monterosso: the oldest and most extensive of the Cinque Terre returns protagonist, as every year, on the third Saturday of June.

The feast of fried anchovies will be held on 17 June 2017 in Monterosso, an exclusive event to taste the famous and delicious anchovies of our land, that already from the morning are fried in the pan in the shape of a fish iron and served with the fried bread and the typical white wine of the Cinque Terre.

The festival of fried anchovies is held in June because it is considered the best month to taste it freshly caught and this festival alternates with that of the salted anchovy that is held in September.

A good opportunity to taste good food, good wine and explore Monterosso, with its ancient village and its long bathing expanses.
