Wine has always been part of my life, I was born in La Spezia and profound admirer of my land, unique location overlooking the sea and the tenacity of its ancient inhabitants transformed into arable land even the steepest slopes. Every time I see on 'a wine label "Product of the Cinque Terre" I think of those terraces bathed in sunshine and sea breeze, or vice versa routes by powerful gusts of Libeccio, "flat" man-made to turn horizontally that is born vertical and this is thanks to the "dry walls". This masterpiece of engineering and human ingenuity that we ourselves sometimes look without fully understanding the value in their apparent simplicity. I, who as a child, going through the boat, I could see in the steep rugged coastline those wonderful screws.

Of course, everyone admits that it is difficult to cultivate those lands, but few people are really into account the patience and strong will of those farmers who get up every morning and walk the "Pianette" checking the status by walls, maybe after a little 'and immediately shower healed that which would begin to crumble.
After of course there is the care of the vineyards, as in most places, however, where the terrain is flat or hilly, so much easier but which lack this unique alchemy with the sea that makes this wine unique in the aroma in flavor one time there were grown Vermentino, the Durella, later the inhabitants inserted the Barolo crops, Albarola, Bianchetta, Sangiovese, all white, this is the tradition.

More technical point of view our special concentration of iodine wine that makes sour taste. The most famous wine is just what Doc White and then there are the wines of the wine coasts of the Cinque Terre is a very fresh wine that goes very well with seafood appetizers.

And these white wines along with the anchovies of Monterosso Genoese pesto focaccia di Recco and the extraordinary vegetable pies are the only fruit of this wonderful land that will never cease to amaze tourists who visit and will always remain in the heart of the one who is given but then life will take him around the world.
