Calice at the Cornoviglio and its ancient beauties

Immersed in the green, we find the beautiful Castle Doria Malaspina, located in Calice Castello, one of the pretty villages of Calice al Cornoviglio. For lovers of fortifications and historic villages, the village is definitely to suggest: it is clear that the most important attraction is the castle that from above seems to supervise the vegetation. It looks imposing in the eyes of those who look at it, proud and ancient. The castle is still in good condition, well maintained: Inside the tourist will find the Pinacoteca "Davide Beghè", in which is present one of the famous stele statues, much appreciated in the world. Currently, after the main room, there is the museum of Resistance, in which there are many objects from the World Wars: helmets, symbols typical of the period, clothing of the various fighters.

In the basement, there is a particular museum dedicated to the profession of beekeeper and in general to beekeeping, very "famous" throughout the Val di Vara.
The thing that is very lacking to the inhabitants of all the villages of the municipality, is certainly an appreciation in addition: many are tourists who flock especially in the summer periods in Calice, but unfortunately this is not enough to keep the museums open.
